Patrick Hayes

Patrick oversees the company’s legal and compliance requirements as well as its regulatory filings, including the implementation of Constellation’s compliance program.

Patrick serves on the board of directors for the National Society of Compliance Professionals, serving as co-chair of its governance committee and a member of its executive and regulatory advisory committees.  He carries both Series 7 and Series 24 securities licenses and is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Patrick is a Magna cum laude graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  He earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for outstanding ability in appellate advocacy.  He is also the immediate Past President of the University of Cincinnati Law Alumni Association and a graduate of the Class 8 of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change Leadership Program.

Why Constellation

Patrick took over the role as Constellation’s Chief Compliance Officer in November 2020 after being drawn to the company’s honest and humble approach to serving their clients. He also serves as a partner, leading the investment management practice at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP.  With more than a decade of legal, compliance, and financial services industry experience related to registered investment advisers, Patrick works across all aspects of Constellation to evaluate and mitigate compliance risks.   

What Drives Patrick

Patrick is a recent recipient of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 Award, which recognizes young professionals in Greater Cincinnati who are crafting successful careers while also giving back to their community.

Patrick, his wife, and two daughters live in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Outside of work, Patrick enjoys hosting his own podcast on securities compliance.  He also enjoys cycling, swimming, traveling, reading, and watching football with family and friends.
